Hyperhidrosis

Perspiration is a normal bodily function that regulates the body's temperature. However, with some people this function is out of control. They constantly suffer from damp hands and extensive sweat stains under their armpits; the Latin word describes this as hyperhidrosis, a condition of excessive sweating.
Frequent consequence: fear of bodily contact, isolation, depression.
However, a relatively simple operation can quickly and permanently eliminate these problems for the rest of your life. For the past 30 years, the Wilhelmsburg Groß-Sand Hospital has specialised in the operative treatment of hyperhidrosis.

Where it only occurs in certain situations, blushing is usually a normal reaction of the sympathetic nervous system. Abnormal blushing is evident by its frequent occurrence already in minor stress situations. It often represents great distress for the affected person.

The thoracoscopic sympathectomy we perform not only successfully treats hyperhidrosis but also frequent blushing.
