Patient's case

To make sure that you have the items and clothing with your during your stay - things that you need and for your comfort and well-being - we have put together a short list of items you should pack into your suitcase:

  • Sufficient outer garments. Depending on the duration of your stay, the quantity can vary. Your clothes should be comfortable (e.g. track suits, T-shirts, slacks, etc.)

In the early geriatric rehabilitation, experience has shown that ladies should rather not wear dresses and skirts as these garments restrict therapeutic applications.

  • Underwear and sleepwear should be available in sufficient quantity, the same as stockings / socks which ideally should not be constrictive.

  • Toiletries / washing utensils (e.g. soap, towels, facecloths, toothbrushes, adhesives for dentures, toothpaste, etc.) Bathrobe and slippers.

  • Well fitting shoes are especially important in the area of rehabilitation. It is really not necessary for you to buy new shoes for this. Existing sports shoes or leather shoes are quite sufficient as these have usually already been worn in.

  • Possibly existing personal aids (e.g. reading glasses, hearing aids) which you need.

  • If aids such as walking sticks, rollators or wheelchairs are required and existing, please discuss bringing these along with our nursing staff in the wards.

  • Books, magazines or other things which you enjoy to keep you busy. You can also buy books and magazines at our kiosk on the ground floor in Building G. We also stock other things there such as toiletries and soft drinks.

  • Money for the telephone. Please be careful not to bring along larger sums of money. Each patient cupboard has a safe where you can safely store your valuables. Please remember to remove the key of the safe when you leave the room. You can also give the key to the staff on your ward for safekeeping. Should you carry larger sums of money with you, these can be stored in the administration's safe. Please ask our staff on the wards about this. They will make all the arrangements.

  • Writing material and alarm clock.

Thank you!
